ST-SER             701_2008_2     0004          SAPKITLOQ4

At this stage when I tried to update support packages (SAP_BASIS/SAP_BW/SAP_ABA/.....) below message received-

In the queue there are Support Packages that require the installation or

upgrade of software component versions.

The list below shows you which component versions are needed. If a note

is specified in the Note column, be sure to have a look at this as it

contains important information about upgrading and installing this

software component.

Component       Release        Note  required by Support Package

     ST-A/PI    01M_CRM570        n.a.  SAPKITL433

      ST-SER    701_2010_1        n.a.  SAPKITL433

The installation and upgrade of software components can be done with the

Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT), which can be started using

the menu path Environment -> Add-On Installation Tool. Since it is able

to include additional Support Packages into an installation queue, you

can import all neccessary packages with one combined Installation and

Support Package queue there.

Check if the relevant installation or upgrade packages are already

available in the system. If not, download them from the Software

Distribution Center on the SAP Service Marketplace

Then you can start the installation in the Add-On Installation Tool.

Please guide me the steps to Add components ST-A/PI 01M_CRM570 & ST-SER 701_2010_1

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I am having a solution manager 7.1 in place and have done all the configurations for EWA which is working fine too without any issues and also maintenance optimiser and general things are fine from all perspective (Basic configuration / System preparation and also managed system configuration)

However, in the EWA report - On the top , I could see its a Non productive (And also in the smsy, Product systems are not marked or selected as production) . I am sure, I will do this thing as manually in the 7.0 versions, however I am not able to edit it here as it is change it out in LMDB. But honestly I am not able to find it out where i could change in LMDB and there are no such options are available to make it as production.

Indeed, even because of this we are not able to arrange a go live session with SAP. If any one has idea about it, please help me out.

Auto populate Business Partner in ChaRM when a component is selected

Hi All,

We are implementing ChaRM and I want to auto populate a Business Partner (IT Operator) when a project/ Component is selected in a Change Request or Normal Change in SM 7.1 SPS06. I know that we can assign a BP to a component from transaction IB52 (ibase), but I can't see an option for Specific Business Partner like IT Operator. If I add this as contact person, it can't recognize it as IT Operator.

Data Services additional Workload metrics

$
0
0

To activate additional metrics you need to folow note 1618486 after you need to add a String ”DisplayDIInternalJobs=TRUE” in DSConfig.txt under the [string] tab.

How to
find the real DSConfig.txt file?

First check if there exist a folder named “Documents and Settings” or “ProgramData” in the C disk,

  • For “Documents and Settings” the path maybe: “C:\ Documents and Settings\All
    Users\Application Data\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\conf”
  • For “ProgramData” the path maybe: ”C:\ ProgramData\Application Data\SAP
    BusinessObjects\Data Services” or “C:\ ProgramData\SAP BusinessObjects\Data
    Services\conf”
  • If there have both check the “ProgramData” first.
  • If there have none, please make sure that your hidden files and folders
is set to ”Show hidden files, folders, and drives”, (which set in the Folder
Options --> View), if the configuration is ok, then you can go to the
directory where your DS installed, for example D disk, then go to the install
directory maybe: “D:\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\conf”; Moreover, if your
DS version is DS4.0, in some cases, you may have to go to the “D:\SAP
    BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin” to find the DSConfig.txt file.

After you change the DSConfig.txt, restart your DS Designer, or maybe DS Services is advisable.
Then you will find the internal datastores ”
CD_DS_d0cafae2”.

At last, in the note 1618486 we just want to describe that, you need to make the internal datastores “CD_DS_d0cafae2” property information just the same as your DB logon information, as the default user name et al. maybe not correct as your own DB logon information is different from it. Tthe table owner is also need to change, because the default table own set in DS is “DBO”, and this may cause errors, as your table owner set in your own DB is not “DBO”. In note 1618486 you can find the method how to change it.

Hi,

In the interactive report the DB utilization report displays no value. The output depends on the DB memory used, free memory in DB and memory available to the DB in the file system.

System monitoring for the satellite system is active and the data is available in the system monitoring.

Any suggestions please.

Doubt in MOPZ creation for EHP7 upgrade

$

0

Hello ,

We are on a track of upgrading EHP of ECC 6.0 system from EHP5 to EHP7 . During creation of MOPZ , I am getting following error message :-

SAP IW FNDGC 100 is required to install by SAP NW GATEWAY FOUNDATION 7.40 - SAPK-740BHINSAPGWFND during the queue check

To mitigate this error, I have unmarked following components as UNINSTALLED and proceed further . FYI , I tried to install 'SAP IW FNDGC 100 ', but later on I came to know that it's only compatible for NW 7.40, so I left  and marked below SW components as UNINSTALLED even though all are already installed:-

DUET ENT 1.0 ADAPTER FP1 (gateway BEP)

SAP NETWEAVER GATEWAY 2.0 (gateway BEP)

SAP NETWEAVER GATEWAY 2.0 (gateway GIL)

SAP NETWEAVER GATEWAY 2.0 (gateway Server Core NW 702 )

After doing above changes, I have done landscape verification and I didn't get any warning/error message over there.

Could you please suggest whether I can proceed with upgrade with this MOPZ XML (created by deselecting above SW components) ? If it should not be , then please suggest how should I proceed ?

Nilutpal.

Missing internal datastore in Designer

I will show how to make the internal datastores visiable, as in note 1618486 we don’t give the method to make the internal datastores, the method
is as follows:

You need to add a String ”DisplayDIInternalJobs=TRUE” in DSConfig.txt under the [string] tab like the screenshot:

screen1.png

How to find the real DSConfig.txt file?

First check if there exist a folder named “Documents and Settings” or “ProgramData” in the C disk.

SOLMAN_SETUP - Error in Create IBASE Components LMDB

$

0

Hello.

In step 5 'Configure Automatically', Basic Configuration of SOLMAN_SETUP, I get an error when executing 'Create IBase Components for LMDB Systems'

It says:

No basis hierarchy for product type 01

No hierarchy found for application 03 / product type 01.

The status 'Create IBase Components for LMDB Systems' is red, and Basic Configuration doesn't complete.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? I didn't find anything in OSS.

Implementation of SP Stack 8 didn't help either.

Best regards

Stefan Ilg.
