Solution Manager Integration with Netcool via SNMP trap

Hi All

 

We have done technical monitoring and BPM in our landscape . As of now , we are receiving notification by Email .

 

We would like to integration solution manager with Netcool ,Since netcool is our ticketing tool . We would like to receiving ticket in Netcool directly for the alerts triggered in Solution manager.

 

Netcool team suggested to do SNMP trap method for integration.

 

Could you please help me to understand the procedure for this integration .Kindly share me the revalant documents for this integration .

Data tranferred to SAP by Solution Manager

Hi experts,

 

I need a detailed overview which data exactly is transferred to SAP by Solution Manager 7.1 SPS10. Where can I find that? I have an old presentation for Solman 7.0, but since 2008 there where a lot of changes. Thanks in advance for any information!

Defect Correction, Solman 7.1

Hi Folks,

 

I have configured Defect Correction, everything is working fine.

But I have 2 queries regarding DC :-

 

1) Categories field in Defect Correction is greyed out. Why ? Any Idea? Am I missing any configuration for ZMTM

 

Please note I have done all the configuration changes and Categories are editable in ZMCR, ZMIN transactions but same is not visible in ZMTM (copy of SMTM, however if I open SMTM transaction, then Categories are editable)

 

2) Transport of Copies creation is not supported in Defect Correction. Right ? Because while doing Informal Testing, I found that no TCOPs are being created specifically, I have to import original TRs manually via Task List.

Normal Change document - Actions button getting greyed out after few status

Hello Experts,

 

I have created below Customized status in Normal Change document before Action profile "Release for Integration and Unit Test"

 

1. In Development (Standard Action profile)

2. Release for FS Approval ( Customized) and Status is E0015

3. FS Approved (Customized) and Status is E0016

4. Release for TS approval (Customized) and Status is E0017

5. TS Approved (Customized Action profile ) and Status is E0018

6. Release for Integration and Unit Test (Standard Action profile)

7. Further status...continue..

 

We were able to set the User status from 1 to 5, but after Status "TS approved" Actions button getting greyed out. Not appearing the "Release for Integration and Unit test" in Actions

 

We have created below New Condition for "Release for Integration and Unit Test" but no luck. Its not showing in Action as its getting greyed out.

We have Solman 7.1 SP08.

 

Can you please let us know what could be the reason? That would be a great help.

SolMan 7.1 SPS 11: Can not Maintain a solution

Hello,

 

I have installed a SolMan 7.1 with SPS 11.

I can not maintain any solution.

 

When I click on Maintain a solution in System Monitoring -> Setup,

a popup windows opens and close.

In solman_ewa_admin, if I click on a solution, no new window is started.

 

How should I proceed to find the source of this bad behaviour?

Error in manager system when Solman is down, because RFC and CSOL setup

Hi friends,

 

The ChaRM with CSOL and DGP are in test.

 

To setup CSOL and DGP was inserted the RFC connection in table BCOS_CUST, in manged system. It is necessary to work the verification of the CSOL.

When the Solution Manager is down, the enviroment of the development to stay in error. In this situation I can´t to delete the entry of the table BCOS_CUST, and I can´t to put like inactive the CSOL.

 

 

Someone know, if is there a solution or contigence for this situation?

How to get a row number based on a content in SAP TAO 2.0

Hi,

 

 

I cannot find a way in getting the row number based on certain column content  for the tables and grids in the SAP GUI using SAP TAO 2.0 or greater version.

 

Similarly also for the if condition and  loops , which are present in the TAO 1.0 but not in SAP TAO 2.0.


BP Analytics - No monitoring data available

We have successfully configured BPMon for Order to cash business process. I see the alerts are getting populated. The SOLMAN version is 7.1 SPS 10. The monitored system is ECC production.In the BPMon setup, the 'Load BW Master Data' doesnt pull up any semantics ID, it is all blank. When I tried checking the data in the cube "0SM_BPMRH", it is mostly empty.

 

 

I checked the extractor framework in SOLMAN,all BPMon extractors are in green.

Cannot recognize installed product instance (FSCM/Finbasis)

Dear SolutionManager-Experts,

 

I'm facing a problem with a managed system in LMDB causing me to get a raving madness!!!

 

I updated a NW 7.01 System with SEM and FINBASIS addon to NW 7.3.

 

I deleted the old System in LMDB. Created a new one (corresponding to the system in SLD) and synchronized it with the sld. After that I got a technical system with the following productinstance:

As you can see there is a Productinstance

  • SAP FSCM - FSCM Server (ABAP) with productversion SAP ERP 6.0
  • Finbasis with productversion EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 (Add-on)

These Productinstances are reported in the verification run with a red led:

In the SLD I see the following data:

Hi @all,

 

I've some problems with SOLMAN_SETUP (7.1SPS11) with DPC-Configuration. This says there is no Introscope EM configured.

Can anyone help me with that?

 

In 3.1 there is EM missing (deleted):

The Diagnostic-Agent for solutionmgr is missing (but its installed and running):

How can I install / configure EM new?

Hello Experts,


We have recently upgraded Prod Solman to 7.1 SP10 and we have a quality only Java system : version: 7.31 SP7.
When trying to do Managed system configuration @ step 7: configure Automatically getting below listed error


1) Database Extractor Setup: error message:Exception CX_DBA_DBH_SETUP in class CL_MSS_DBH_SETUP method IF_DBA_DBH_SETUP~SET_VALUE line 34 Kernel Error ID: WP ID: 48 WP PID: 5704 SYSID: SY-SUBRC: 0 SY-TABIX: 0 Message: Authorization failure ( sap_set_para 23 ) [READ_TLIST] Database:

 

2) Introscope host Adapter:  error message:On instance : XXXsapqepaa/J01
The agent running on XXXsapqepaa/QEP/01  could not connect to the Wily Enterprise Manager XXXSAPPSM.XXX:5001 is not reachable from the agent running on XXXsapqepaa/QEP/01. Please check connectivity

On instance : XXXsapqepbb/J01
The agent running on XXXsapqepbb/QEP/01 could not connect to the Wily Enterprise Manager XXXSAPPSM.XXX:5001 is not reachable from the agent running on XXXsapqepbb/QEP/01
. Please check connectivity

 

when I checked in Jco - RFC connections are working fine.

 

3) Register ADC collector: error message: The info related to ADC MBean 'SAP_ActivityDataCollector' could not be retrieved from instance XXXsapqepbb/QEP/01

SLD to LMDB synchronization error- cim model mismatch

Hello All,

 

In system preparation, we have configured the SLD and in the setup LMDB step we have added this SLD for synchronization to LMDB. Once we activate the synchronization (full sync) we first get a message "LMDB is on cim model 1.6.31 and SLD is on 1.6.37.Please confirm if you want to update LMDB to cim model 1.6.37." I clicked YES for this. Then it starts a job SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001 in the ABAP stack. However this job is getting cancelled with below message:

An exception of class CX_LMDB_CIM_ERR occurred

Classes for sync do not match: source model version 1.6.37, target 1.6.31

 

Can anyone advice what can be done to resolve this situation? Just FYI, This is not a new implementation there was another SLD that was connected to the LMDB earlier, however that stopped working due to a version mismatch. So now I am trying to sync the LMDB to a new SLD.

what Bytecode agent for BOE monitoring

Hello

we want to connect our BOE 4.1 server (linux/tomcat) to our solution manager plateform (SPS7)

 

In the BOE hosts, there is already an ABAP instance and an JAVA instance (BW).

So there is already a DAA agent on the host.

 

On the SAPNOTE 1945394, it is said to install a bytecode agent for connecting to BOE but there is already a DAA agent on the host. and so a bytecode agent configured for our SAP JAVA instance.

 

Cant we use the same agent to connect BOE Web App server to solman ?

 

do we need to install another one ?

 

 

any clue will be fine as information is a bit unclear on all the sap note

Problem to assign my SolMan 7.1 in the corresponding logical component

Hello,

 

I am running SolMan 7.1 SPS 11.

I would like to assign my SolManSID to the logical component SAP Solution Manager 7.1.

 

I perform the following.

SM_Workcenter
-> Solution Manager Administration
-> Landscape
-> Logical Component

-> Search *manager*

The only Logical Component that is returned is  SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1.

There is no SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1.


Therefore how should I proceed to add my SolManSID to the logical component SAP Solution Manager 7.1?

I am facing issue in RFC connection in managed system configuration.

Read and back rfc are fine

trusted connection is also fine

but still i facing issue saying :- issue in back RFC connection.

Restriction of Change Manager access to his own change request (Requestor): Charm

Dear All,

 

I have authorization question on Charm.

 

Senario : If the a Person having Chnage Manager technical (PFCG) role raises a Change Request  (Requestort) and selects the change manager as someone else. Can the Requestor of this CR, approve the CR (or do modification) as he/she has the Chnage Manager technical (PFCG) role?

 

If yes, how to restrict this?

No INSTANT supportteam determination

Dear Solman-Specialists,

 

we face the following odd behaviour in our solution manager 7.1 system:

 

After creating a decision table and rule in BRFPLUS for supportteam determination depending on category-IDs the determinatino of supportteams works fine.

BUT - the strange thing is that the support team does not get put into the corresponding filed INSTANTLY. Only after "updating" the ticket through another action (eg. changing the priority or switching to another catgoriy) the supportteam of the previus "update-action" is filled into the correspondig field.


Anyone having the same issue - and a solution?!
