BPMon Alert List Issue in SP14

$

Hi All,

We are facing an issue after Upgrade to Solman SP14. The list of alert instances  for a given alert is distorted. Basically the table at the bottom of the Alert Inbox just shows 2 columns at a time. I didn't find this issue referenced in any Note for SP14.

Did anyone face the same issue , any any resolution?

Regards,

Shaswat

Hi

I have a Solution Manager system for two systems PROD and DES ERP, with SO 2008.

I want to migrate the Solution Manager to a new server and only change SO 2008 to 2012.  This is a heterogenius copy, but can i do this?

1.- install a new Solution Manager  in the new server 2012,

2.- Delete the old configuration of the old Solution Manager in the 2008 server.

3.- Update de configuratión of the 2012 for the two system PROD and DES.

Thanks in advanced.

Cannot create dynamic TBOM using CBTA test script

Hello,

I am trying to create dynamic TBOM by executing automated test created via CBTA automation tool. I already set the "Activate TBOM recording" check box in Start Option screen but after completing the test, no TBOM generated in Test Case Configuration > Attributes > TBOM screen. Instead, I am getting this message displayed on this screen - "TBOM Creation is not allowed for this Executable Type".

I have assigned executable type as "Transaction" and test case type as "CBTA test configuration"

Anyone here got any idea on this message? or is there any additional setups that i need to perform prior running dynamic TBOM creation.

Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Auto closure process for Incident (SMIN) ?

$

Hi ITSM expert!

We are using Incident Management (ZMIN ticket by copy of SMIN standard ticket), and a lot of our ticket remain in "Proposed Solution"  status.

Even if the requester should check the resolution or solution and confirm it .. he/she -most of the time- does not confirm technically the incident. They remain in the worklist indefinitely ...

Is there a way to confirm automatically  these ZMIN document ?

for example, after 10 days of "propose solution" status, a background process will close the Incident automatically ?

I tried the report CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT ..which works fine with Charm document, but seem not working with incident management.

Thanks!

Issue in EM installation in wily.

Hi Team,

I am installing Wily version=9.5.6.0 on solman 7.1 SP12(Windows 2012).

I downloaded the below files:

osgiPackages.v9.5.6.0.windows

WILYISEM06_0-70000324

WILYWORK06_0-70000140

eula.txt

I unzip WILYISEM06_0-70000324 and kept the file osgiPackages.v9.5.6.0.windows and eula.txt in this folder. Also, i have accepted the license in eula.txt and ca-eula. Now i am trying to install EM using the file introscope9.5.6.0windowsAMD64SAP, but it is creating the dir apmintroscope once, then deletes it.

I have changed the installation dir in installer file also.

Would request you to please suggest me, how to resolve this issue.

sol man SLD v/s PI sld

Hi all

I have PI SLD and SOL MAN SLD in the landscape.

I have to do Success Factors implementation with SAP PI. I have to create technical and business systems for ECC sytem.

If they are created in sol man SLD, will it be possible to do PI monitoring for the messages?

How do I transport ? Should I create TS and BS for PI also in sol man SLD?

What is the best practise

Selective Import Strategy brings up an empty screen

$

Hello ChaRM/Solman Experts,

We are in the process of implementing a Selective Import Strategy for the ChaRM Environment. Following the steps from the SAP Blog on how to configure, we were able to see a pop-up window for the QA environment with Transports listed but for the Prod environment we see an empty pop-up window.

Here is a link to the 'How to' Blog.

http://scn.sap.com/community/it-management/alm/solution-manager/blog/2013/11/20/new-import-strategy-selective-import-sp10-how-to

And here is the config steps

1. Go to the spro entry

SPRO.jpg

2. Enter 2 new lines of config, one for QA and another for the prod environment:

Config.jpg

3. Schedule an import job via task list for QA and hit schedule to get the selective import pop up window:

QA - Import List.jpg

4. Schedule an import job via task list for Prod and hit schedule to get the selective import pop up window:

Prod Empty List.jpg

As you see in Step 3, there is a selective import window for QA environment but no selective import window for Prod. They are all setup the same way.

Troubleshooting steps:

1. Confirmed system role assignment for Production Environment.

2. Confirmed RFC and no auth errors.

3. Confirmed the configuration steps as outlined in the blog above.

4. Confirmed that there are transports in the import queue.

The fact that we see an Selective import window pop up means the config is working, but unsure why the list is not populated as it is in QA.

Help will be really appreciated.

Retrofit: not possible to start (Retrofit Entry Loced by user - /TMWFLOW/RETRO_EXT102)

Dear experts,

We have implemented SolMan (7.1 SP14) with ChaRM and Retrofit.

For retrofit, the managed landscapes are as follows:

DTE-QTE-QLE-PTE (let's call this Line "Run")

DTA-QTA-QLA-PTE (let's call this Line "A")

So two four-tier landscapes in parallel with the same production system.

We are testing the setup and have the following issue.

We have a Z-report in both DTE and in DTA.

We have modified this report in DTA.

Now we have also modified it in DTE. We have correctly received the CSOL warning on TR DTEK950217.

Now we are at the point of Retrofit. I have indicated a target transport request. The Retrofit category is correctly determined as "yellow" aka "to be transported with transport tool". So I press "transport with SCWB".

However then I get an error.

The following screenshot shows the log.

It shows error message /TMWFLOW/RETRO_EXT102: "Retrofit entry M000000001/DTA-300/DTEK950217 locked by user BDANDOY"

Inform user &2 or wait until user &2 releases the entry. If you are user &2, you are locking the entry in another session.

However I have checked SM12 and there are no lock items on anything.

I don't understand what is blocking the retrofit execution...

Please help as this is blocking our tests (and go-live).

CRM_UI Configuration View on home page changes

Hello CRM UI experts,

I have a Situation at the Moment that is not life threatening but very disturbing.

When I start the CRM_UI in the keyuser user role, I receive the following Screen:

2016-06-22 13_26_05-Clipboard.png

It retrieves the correct configuration view:

2016-06-22 13_27_16-Clipboard.png

When I create a new incident and return to the home page again, the system retrieves a different view

CUAICHome-page.jpg

In this case, it retrieve a different configuration view

CUAICHome-config.jpg.png

I could configure both to be the same Default, but as soon as a user starts to personalize the view, they drift apart for the user and he/she does not understand that the second view is different.

Does anyone have a idea how to configure the system, so that the same configuration is used in both cases?

Thanks and best regards,

Kent Kleinsteuber

Solution Manager - is it OLAP or OLTP?

$

Hi,

I've installed my solution manager server complete with its dual ABAP/JAVA stack and also configured BW on it. I'm using BW only for Solution Manager integration e.g E2E Analysis and Availability Monitoring.

My question is about note  830576 - Parameter recommendations for Oracle 10g. Would Solution Manager qualify as an OLTP or an OLAP system? I could argue the case either way, just wondered what anyone's thoughts were on this?

Many Thanks

Chris

Note Implementation via Solution Manager - Is it possible?

$

Hi experts,

I've read very often about items like "implement notes via Solution Manager" and things like this.

But I don't really find a way, how I can implement notes...

Therfore my question is, is there really a possiblity, e.g. in "System Recommendation", how I can implement notes?
Maybe on multiple systems together.

Especially for security notes it is a lot of work.

Solman 7.2 Upgrade vs New Installation

$

Hello,

we are planning to go to the next Solman release next year. The question is whether an upgrade or a new installation makes more sense.

Amongst others we re currently using the Solman (7.1 SPS12) for Solution Documentations,Test scenario (appr. 15), technical monitoring (appr. 60 systems)

We prefer to make a new smooth installation and avoid the complicated upgrade process through the dual split, preparation and activation. Anyway we have to adjust all the satellite systems incl. diagnostics because during the process we would get some new machines with new names and domain.

I know it's a lot of effort. But at least I would like to migrate the documents and the projects to the new release. Do you know whether an option exists to export the data and import it into the new Solman? Is there any automated process?

Thank you in advance.

Charm - Downgrade - How to block downgrade?

$

Hi experts,

if I try to create a downgrade-szenario, I get at the second change, a warning message on adding the object to the transport order.

So I go to se80, change a object and get a warning, that there are still changes oppen from that object.

However, this is just a warning message and can be ignorred.

How can I change this to a error/stop message, so that if a lock is still existing it can't be changed from another charm transaction?

In downgrade configruation (spro) I've changed already all 4 possibilities to "STOP".
However, it is still possible to create a downgrade szenario.

Just in the charm-ticket I have to "Ignorre" the downgrade and accept the risk.

But I want, that to block a downgrade-szenario so that nobody can create one.

Kind regards

Hi,

I am looking to send alert inbox to just SAP users who are setup in SU01, which means if my SCOT is configured properly and able to send email thru SBWP.. shouldn't I be able to send the inbox alerts similarly?

Would like to skip LDAP configuration and just do direct email to the sap users. How to do I do this , because the document suggests that I need to have the LDAP configuration done as part of a pre-requisite.
