Dear Gurus,
We have SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1 Stack Level 12 (07/2014 - which is quite the latest). For
the Interactive reporting for child systems availaibilty are working fine for all ABAP
systems. However for all my child J2EE systems, the system availabilities are missing.
I am quite a newbie here, please advise me on how to check it.

I want to upgrade my SAP_BASIS700 to SAP_BASIS701 with SUM. And I decompress the software SUM10SP11_5-20006543.SAR to /usr/sap/IDS/ , then I run the command ./STARTUP in /usr/sap/IDS/SUM . But the command cannot be implemented , the system showed below:

Dear all,
I am working on SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and i have the following customizing to define status authorizations for Z Service Requests.
When an user tries to change status from Customer Action (30), its possible to set the following available status:
However, if previously it has been assigned the status “Proposed Solution“to this message, there wouldnt be available to set status “Withdrawn” from status initial “Customer Action”
Is there any customizing point to restrict certains status (withdrawn) once the service request has been assigned previously to a determinated status (Proposed Solution)

We have installed SAP Solution Manager 7.1 and using its ITSM and Change Control Managment process successfully. We want to explore its test management functionality fully as well. As we went through all the documents online but unable to conclude anything.
SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is now integrated with Test Automation Framework , i have few questions regarding TAO.
Do we have to purchase SAP TAO (Test Accelaration & Optimization) and SAP Quality Center separately??
Other than that how can we benefit from test management offered by Solman 7.1 and how it is different from Solman 7.0 ??

Hi Solution Manager Experts,
What is SAP's recommended guidelines towards continuous monitoring/alerting of production environment during an outage of Solution Manager?
Please note, this is not a query on a DR situation - where of course, we could use the on-the-fly-agent functionality.
For example: During an upgrade or SPS patch implementation, Solution Manager will be running with very restricted functionalities (or none at all). This window could be anything between couple of hours to few days, in case of complexities / post-patch CCN notes application etc.
Initially, we thought of installing a second set of DIAG agents on managed systems in production environment, which points/reports to Solution Manager QA box, but this appears not a brilliant solution, as it involves:
1. Additional efforts towards installation and Managed System Configuration
2. Re-pointing and other manual tasks prior-to and post-outage windows
3. Additional resources (CPU, RAM, disk spaces) used by the DIAG agent on each managed host.
4. Wily config issues.
How can we ensure the monitoring of production environment is not compromised by Solution Manager outages of above nature?

When we perform the action "Pass Normal Change to Test" we receive an error message. Reviewing the short dump in ST22 of our development ERP system provides additional information such as DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND, Screen output without connection to user, SAPLTMSU_ALT. Using this information we have identified two notes (49730 and 1497281, which is not applicable). We tried changing the user type for our RFC communication user (as per 49730), but that has not worked.
Interestingly the Transport of Copies (which occurs when this action is performed in ChaRM) has been created in development. But it has not been released and ChaRM is not aware that the Transport of Copies has been created. If we move it outside of ChaRM we will lose this history.
Has anyone experienced this issue? How did you resolve it?

Hello,
I have developed a program that uploads files massively to Solution Manager, and the upload process works fine.
But when i try to edit a document that i uploaded using this program, the systems shows me this popup message.
The document cannot be changed.
Because:
it was copied from a template.
it was copied from the Business Process
Repository.
it is saved in a different context.
The document is flagged for copying, e.g.
because you are in a copied project.
<ZH>It has been copied.</>
The reference to the original document is
replaced by a reference to the copy.
Has anybody seen this before or why is this message being showed.

This is my first time getting my hands dirty with a Solution Manager configuration, this system was a 7.1 SPS03 and i updated it all the way to SPS12, along with its corresponding CR Content up to 2014. Besides the obvious reason of the system being outdated, the main one was that i just need to update a fresh installed IDES ECC 6.0 EHP7 based on NetWeaver 7.40 up to SPS 07, and to go past SPS04 i need to update the system through SUM (at least it is just required for SPS 05). I need that SPS level because im gonna start tinkering with SAP Fiori UX and that's the recommended SPS.
So, im in SOLMAN_SETUP doing the "Set Up Solution Manager System in LMDB" and i am getting the following error:
When i do a check on LMDB for the Solman system i get the following (i get the same error for the ECC System):
As I said earlier, this is my first time ever and i would appreciate any insight or help in how to solve these issues.

We need to generate report that extract history of Change Documents(Normal Change Documents and General Change Documents) .
We need to pull the data from change history assignment block of change documents.(Transaction Types for change documents- ZMMJ,ZZMJ,ZMCG) in Charm.

Hello,
We are implementing Charmlite and want to activate in project landscape.
We are Solution Manager 7.1 SP11 and testing this scenario in sandbox.
Steps completed:
1. in sandbox domain controller, created two virtual systems and made 3 system landscape, where, I can release the transport and see it in QA system (Virtual system buffer)
2. The LMDB has been updated with Virtual system and in SMSY, the entries of virtual system shows up. The logical components have the client information.
Issue:
in /nsolar_project_admin ->System landscape -> change management, When consistency check is performed, we get error message saying
Virtual RFC is miising (I am guessing, it should be okay)
The logical component is incosistent (This might be the reason the CHARM is not getting activated.
"No consolidation system for development system SSA-200 in project ZTEST2
No track for project ZTEST2 with log. system SSA/200"
For me, when i look in satellite system, the consolidation system is a virtual system and it should be fine.

Hi Team,
Currently we are using SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SP8, While Performing Basic Configuration --> Configure Automatically --> Push DPC Configuration to Wily, I am getting below warning message.
" The Diagnostic Agent <Hostname>.xxxx.net_SMDA97 was not found".

I have already applied the SAP Note: 1859552.
Diagnostic agent is up and running, status of diagnostic agent is green, and Diagnostic agent version is 7.2, and wily EM version is 9.15.
Wily EM and Solution Manager has been installed on the Same Host.
And the operating System we are using is windows server 2008.
Any Pointers to resolve this problem, any help will be highly Appreciated.

I need some help in setting up alert notification using Solution manager 7.0
What i have done so far is
1.Setup system monitoring of my ECC system using Solution Manager 7.0 . I connected my DE1 system to solution manager for system monitoring in transaction DSWP.
2.Now i can see that any time a job fail in my Dev environment an alert is created in solution manager .
Now i want to send those alert to my email so need some help in this area. If some one can please send document or steps on how to do this setup in SOLMAN 7.0 i will really appreciate.
I have setup the email configuration in SOL Manager and can receive email from there .

I have a requirement where we have to set up charm for a landscape
where different system getting created one after another in following order
1st production
2nd Pre-production
3rd Development
4th sandbox
how can we proceed creating CharM project for the above scenario.
1. we need at least 2 system to create CharM ,so should we wait for least 2 system for getting created to start with ChaRM project?
2. Can we wait for whole landscape to be set up and configure charm or is there any other way like creation of virtual system and continue with CharM process.?
3. If we create virtual system ,do we foresee any challenges ,please share
